JWT pulls out from upcoming Indosat pitch

JAKARTA - JWT Adforce has withdrawn from the upcoming US$15 million Indosat above-the-line pitch in Indonesia, leaving seven agencies in the fray.

Lulut Asmoro (pictured), president director of the agency said that "it was a straight case of conflict of interest" which resulted in the pullout. JWT Adforce also handles the prepaid SimPati account owned by Telkomsel in the country.

"Initially Indosat was exploring a possibility of our forming a separate team for this account but we realised that it would breach the contract with our client," said Asmoro.

Indosat is one of Indonesia’s largest telcos. Its services include cellular and fixed-line telephony, pay-TV and internet.
