JWT lands major portion of Inbev China portfolio

Inbev, formerly known as Interbrew, has handed a major portion of its local brand portfolio to JWT after two separate pitches.

JWT, which participated in one pitch against Lowe and Nitro, was shortlisted after creative presentations, along with Ogilvy & Mather, which contested the second pitch alongside DDB, FCB and Lowe. Lowe, the incumbent which netted creative duties for four brands last year, was the only agency to take part in both reviews. The brewer will appoint two creative agencies, with JWT handling major brands, including Double Deer and KK in Zhejiang Province, and ChunJin in multi-province markets. Marketing is mainly handled by Inbev. Inbev's international brands, including Becks, are handled by a separate marketing team and were not part of the review.
