Chris Jones, the chief executive of J. Walter Thompson, the world's
fourth largest advertising agency network, has quit for health
reasons.
He has been succeeded by Peter Schweitzer, 61, who will add the post of
chief executive to his current role as president of the worldwide
network.
Mr Jones, 45, was reported to be suffering from deep vein thrombosis, an
ailment that afflicts some people travelling on long-haul flights.
