Jockey Club eyes 'hot spot' patrons in major BTL drive

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) is banking on a new push with bars and clubs in the city to boost patronage in September and October as well as promote the 2005/06 race season.

The campaign has been organised by Venue Alliance and involves 75 venues in Lan Kwai Fong, SoHo, Wan Chai and Tsimshatsui. It offers patrons of bars, nightclubs and restaurants free entry to the HKJC, a two-for-one drink offer, a discount booklet for the participating venues and a free bus returning consumers at the end of the night. Posters, pamphlets and drink coasters have been used for the joint promotion. Venue Alliance coordinator Simon Squibb said one advantage of the campaign was that it allowed clients to track 'real results', as consumers needed to bring the drink coasters with them to take advantage of the offer. The promotion runs until October 31.
