Jetstar reviews regional media
Singapore-based low cost carrier Jetstar Asia is reviewing its media buying and planning duties, pitting Asian incumbent Carat against ZenithOptimedia, which handles the Jetstar Airways Australian business.

Aegis Media subsidiary Blitz currently handles the bulk of Jetstar Asia's media duties out of Singapore, with sister agency Carat tasked with the remainder of Asia - due to a previous conflict with former Carat client Tiger Airways. The review comes ahead of the new Jetstar International rollout, which will see the airline fly long-haul from Australia to six international destinations, including Osaka and Bangkok.

The Jetstar Asia brand, meanwhile, which is controlled by a consortium that includes Jetstar Airways owner Qantas and Temasek Holdings, recently installed a new senior management team including head of marketing Debbie Woon, who did not respond to request for comment.
