Javier Campopiano, the global chief creative officer for global clients at Omnicom Advertising, is leaving the business at the end of the month.
Campopiano became the global chief creative officer of McCann Worldgroup and McCann in September 2023. He took on his current role at the end of last year after McCann owner Interpublic Group was bought by Omnicom.
Troy Ruhanen, president and chief executive of Omnicom Advertising, said: “We thank Javi for his contribution in these months after the merger and for all that he has built previously at McCann. We wish him all the very best for the future.”
Before working at Omnicom, Campopiano was worldwide chief creative officer at Grey Group. He has also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, FCB Mexico and Ogilvy Argentina
In a LinkedIn post, Campopiano said: “I am deeply grateful to Troy Ruhanen for the huge opportunity to be at the creative helm of this new enterprise, and to all the new colleagues I’ve met in this role since I started back in December. It has been an honor and a true pleasure.
“That is why it is not an easy decision, but I know it is the right one.
“I am forever changed as a creative and as a leader by my three years at McCann Worldgroup and McCann.”
