Jack Morton opens new office in Beijing

BEIJING Global events specialist Jack Morton Worldwide (JMW) has expanded its Asian operation by opening an office in Beijing.

The office is managed by Rebecca Lim, who has worked in the conference and event industry for several years in the region, most recently as managing director of Eventus. The new office will initially be supporting business sourced from JMW's Hong Kong and international offices, while developing new business locally. Lim said: "Over the past ten years, JMW has successfully conducted numerous events throughout mainland China. "Having a Beijing office means we can better serve our global clients as they expand their operations in China." Recent events handled by JMW in China include a global leadership summit for a large financial firm in May 2005 involving 200 delegates. The new office is currently working on an anniversary celebration for a 1000-person event for a local client. Ben Taylor, managing director in Asia for JMW, said: "Having delivered successful events for clients in China over the last ten years, we are now delighted to increase this support in the form of a dedicated Beijing office ."
