Iris plots management consultancy roll-out in Asia

LONDON - UK-based integrated marketing agency Iris has revealed plans to export its newly acquired management consultancy Concise to Asia-Pacific.

Iris secured the US$10 million acquisition earlier this month, pipping a number of interested parties to the deal.

The acquisition is geared towards tackling clients' broader business issues, explained chief executive Ian Milner.

"For years agencies have moaned about management consultancies taking over the strategic influence they have with clients. With Concise, we're putting our money where our mouth is, and can now provide high-end strategic advice for companies."

The team is eight-strong, with plans to treble it within two years as it expands overseas.

"Increasingly, key marketing decisions are made in Asia, so we will be looking to export the Concise offer in the coming months," he said.

"Concise is really strong in the pharmaceuticals space, but it is its experience in the gaming industry that presents us with the biggest opportunity in Asia."

The acquisition is Iris's first in its nine-year history. The agency has offices in Dehli, Singapore and Sydney and plans to open more offices this year.
