Iris appoints retail practices head in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Iris has appointed a board director of its global Sony Ericsson business, Jane Perry (pictured), as a board director of its Singapore office to head up its new global retail practices arm.

Given her experience with Sony Ericsson, Perry will now spearhead “the sharing of best practices in retail” around the network to bolster Iris’ retail credentials with new and existing clients including Adidas, Diageo, Yahoo and Unilever.

As board director - global retail, she will assemble and lead a specialist retail team that will offer strategic solutions to other brands in the Iris Singapore office portfolio.

Richard Bleasdale, Iris’ Regional CEO for Asia-Pacific, said: “I first tried to hire Jane almost two years ago, so it’s great to finally get Jane on board as part of our team here in Singapore. With her deep knowledge of retail in the cutting edge Asian market, Jane is the ideal candidate to lead our new global specialist team. And as clients increasingly take a more strategic approach to their retail marketing strategies, its clear Jane and her team will have plenty to offer.”

Since June 2008, Perry has been based in London heading Iris’ Sony Ericsson global team, with a remit spanning retail, sponsorship, campaign development and brand guardianship.

Before that, Perry was regional retail marketing director for Asia-Pacific at Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide.
