IPOS re-appoints Rocket X

SINGAPORE - The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) has appointed Rocket X, a TBWA\Tequila affiliate, as its agency for the third consecutive year.

The agency was handed the account without a pitch and has been tasked with launching the 2009 anti-piracy campaign for IPOS.

IPOS, a statutory board under the Ministry of Law, is the lead government agency that advises on and administers intellectual property (IP) laws, promotes IP awareness and provides the infrastructure to facilitate the development of IP in Singapore. The government body’s 2009’s campaign will have a slightly different tone and messaging. The main message will highlight the perils of online piracy and its associated risks.

The year-long through-the-line campaign will include broadcast, print and out-of-home media and an online segment.

Marc Nicholson (pictured), CEO of Rocket X said "We are honoured to have been selected again to work on this campaign for the third year. Illegal file sharing has serious implications on the creative industries. Hence, we strongly support all anti-piracy movements.”
