Inxs blasts into Asia with new promotional blitz to reach younger fans

Promotions company LAMC Productions has rolled out a campaign promoting global rock band Inxs' first trip to Asia since naming JD Fortune as its new lead singer.

Fortune, who became the frontman following his victory in last year's popular reality TV show, Rock Star Inxs, will attract a new core demographic of fans, according to Lauretta Alabons, director LAMC Productions. "Inxs has been around for 30 years, and because of JD Fortune, we're going to see a plenty of younger fans come out, so we're looking to attract anyone as young as 20 years old," she said. The campaign — slated to break by June 20 — will include television (in conjunction with Star TV), print, radio and online activations. Similar promotions by different companies are in the works for other Southeast Asia markets.
