Amid glitz, glamour and a great deal of panache, CNBC has rolled

out two more dedicated channels in Asia - Hong Kong and Singapore.

This brings to six the total number of distinct CNBC channels in the

region; the others being CNBC Australia, CNBC India, Nikkei-CNBC and

CNBC Asia.

The latest launches were accompanied by celebrations at La Terrazza, The

Landmark, in Hong Kong and Fullerton Hotel in Singapore.

The guest lists read like a who's who of the upper echelons of the

business, financial and high society worlds of both cities.

Among them were guests of honour, Mr Lee Yock Suan, Singapore's Minister

of Information and the Arts, and Mr Lawrence Fok, the Deputy Chief

Operating Officer of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd.

Officiating was Mr Scott Goodfellow, CEO of CNBC Asia Pacific.

The celebrations were witness to much merry-making and some of the

guests even walked away with free trips to Phuket after winning a

contest that tested people's skills at playing the stock market.
