Interpublic completes buyout of Lintas India

MUMBAI - Interpublic Group has completed an equity buyout of Lintas India by snapping up the remaining 51 per cent, allowing IPG to integrate the network into Lowe Worldwide.

The deal extends the network’s 40-year relationship between Lintas and IPG. Lintas boasts a host of blue-chip clients on its books, including Hindustan Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Nestlé and Tata.

IPG initially held 40 per cent of Lintas India, boosting its share by another nine per cent in 1998.
