Intel hands $300m media to OMD

SANTA CLARA: Intel has selected OMD to handle its US$300 million global media buying and planning account, following a final round of pitching against Starcom and incumbent Universal McCann.

The account is believed to be worth $60 million in Asia-Pacific alone. The result is a major blow for Universal McCann, which has handled Intel for the past three years.
The three shortlisted contenders emerged from a first phase that also included ZenithOptimedia and MEC.
