Intel consolidates global PR with WPP
Intel has awarded its global PR business to WPP. Burson-Marsteller will act as lead agency and head the Americas business, while Ogilvy PR has been selected for Asia and Hill & Knowlton takes charge of Europe. The news follows a six-month review during which Ogilvy and B-M pitched together as 'Team Imagine'. It is believed that regional Asian incumbent Fleishman-Hillard's tenure on the business will now end, although Intel spokesperson Mark Miller declined to discuss local alignments, which currently include Text 100 in Singapore, B-M in China and F-H in Hong Kong.
