Initiative promotes Sodhi to India chief

Lintas Media Group has promoted senior vice-president and head of Intellect, Premjeet Sodhi, to the role of head of Initiative.

The move comes as Kartik Iyer, former president of Initiative India, moves to Active International, one of the world's largest corporate trading companies, as director, media services.

"With Sodhi taking over as head of Initiative, we are sure that he will bring in significant improvement in strategic and planning inputs in media in the Delhi market," said Lynn De Souza, director, Lintas Media Group. Sodhi takes over his new position this month. He has been with Lintas Media Group for the last four years, prior to which he was with the Media Research Users Council.

Meanwhile, Julius Augustine has filled Sodhi's post at Intellect. He will continue in his role as AVP, strategy, Media Futures, in addition to his new responsibility. "I am looking forward to the amalgamation of my prior experience in media research and analytics, and coming up with software that will benefit the Lintas Media Group in planning, strategy and even predicting GRPs," he said.

Augustine joined Media Futures, a media brand consultancy, in June. Prior to this, he was with Hansa Research and has also worked with Mudra Communications, where he was with the market research division for almost two years. After this, he moved to ORG-Marg, where he spent nearly seven years in media research.
