Indosat "shortlist" narrows to four

JAKARTA - Indonesian telco giant Indosat has narrowed its search for a "super agency" to four, down from the seven originally invited. Ogilvy & Mather, McCann Erickson, Octovate and incumbent DDB remain in contention.

The pitch has experienced a number of hiccups so far, including two agency withdrawals, and disagreement on whether the client should pay pitch fees - which it later agreed to do.

Indosat’s products include mobile and fixed-line telephony, pay-TV and internet services, and agencies have been briefed to identify a marketing strategy that will tie these businesses together.
