Indian daily pips USA Today in ABC circulation audit

SINGAPORE - The Times of India has surpassed the circulation of USA Today to become the world's largest English broadsheet, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulation.

India's leading national daily had a certified circulation of 2.145m copies per day for the second half of 2001 compared with USA Today's 2.120m copies, ABC's latest figures reveal.
