INDIA HEADLINES: Samsung adds Cheil to roster for media accounts

Samsung India has moved part of its media planning and buying business from Mudra Communications to Cheil Communications, which now handles airconditioners and audio systems. Mudra will continueworking on the colour TV business, and Grey on white goods. Mona Jain, who used to head the Samsung media account at Mudra before joining GlaxoSmithKline, has joined Cheil as vice-president, media. The Samsung business will be headed by Navin Khemka, who joined Cheil from MindShare. Until recently, Cheil operated in India as a liaison office, but late last year hired Viren Razdan from Leo Burnett to head operations in Delhi, and Mehernosh Shapoorjee from Lowe to head creative.
