India: Grey Delhi names Narasimhan new head of creative

DELHI: Grey Global Group's Delhi office has named Nandu Narasimhan, formerly creative director at Contract Advertising in Delhi, as its new creative head.

Prathap Suthan, national creative director, Grey Worldwide, said: "To take the mantle of the creative department in Delhi, we needed someone with talent and maturity. Our branch has grown and therefore we needed someone who not only had the experience, but was equally a 'people person'."

Narasimhan began his advertising career in 1989, with Tara Sinha Associates, now McCann-Erickson India; Everest, Lintas (now known as Lowe); and TBWA Anthem (now known as TBWA India). He will report directly to Suthan.

This is the latest in a series of high-profile hires and senior staff movements at the agency.

Late last year, former head of the Delhi branch Ashutosh Khanna was promoted to chief operating officer at Grey Global Group India, at the same time that Suthan was made national creative director.

Sameer Verma also took over as the branch head at that time, and the agency hired Vikram Gaikwad from Leo Burnett and Raj Kurup from Lowe to head creative at the Mumbai branch.
