Inbev launches Henen province push for Baisha beer

SHANGHAI - Inbev has moved to reinforce its Baisha beer brand with local drinkers in Henen province, by mixing the brand's 'refreshment' attributes with a hefty dose of ancient history.

Developed by Nitro China, the campaign aims to convey the message that “no matter how tough a day you’ve had, everything seems better after a refreshing Baisha beer”.

The TVC draws on a true story from the Warring States period, between the fifth and the second centuries BC, with the famous General Xiangyu finding himself besieged on all sides. A modern protagonist interrupts the scene of despair telling them that everything will be okay after a Baisha beer, providing a humorous finish to the spot.

The work leverages the insight that Henenese are highly conscious and proud of their unique place in both mythological and political history in China.
