Ikea aligns digital business with Mindshare in Taiwan

TAIPEI - Swedish furniture manufacturer Ikea has consolidated its media business with Mindshare in Taiwan, having appointed the GroupM agency to handle its digital marketing business after a pitch that also included Aegis Group's wwwins Consulting.

According to a statement from Mindshare, the first campaign of the alignment, due to roll out later this month, will harness open source partners to promote personal storage solutions. Ikea is understood to have previously developed its digital initiatives in-house.

The appointment follows the recent appointment in Taiwan of Calaf Huang as partner of its digital arm, Interaction.
