IHG Japan rebrands ANA hotel chain

SINGAPORE - InterContinental Hotels Group Japan is rebranding it's ANA hotel chain to ANA Crowne Plaza, a move which will see the repositioning take place in six major cities across Japan.

The changes will include upgrading the online booking system, customer services, room amenities and strengthening the chain’s offer in specialised event services such as banquets and conferences.

Hotel chiefs said the decision was based on an IHG survey of more than 2,000 consumers, with results indicating there was a need to upscale the brand and improve its focus on marketing to business travelers.

The revamp is expected to be completed by 17 December.
