Hyundai prepares to unveil new model

The Korean carmaker would not reveal the name of the product, however the launch is part of Hyundai’s plans to build on the success of its best-selling Santa Fe and Getz models that have helped the company’s market positioning rise from 11th in 2004 in the Philippines in recent years.

Hyundai competes with Japanese rivals Toyota, Mitsubishi and Honda, which continue to lead the Philippine car market.

Toyota dominates with a market share of 36 per cent while Mitsubishi is second with 14 per cent and Honda is third with 13 per cent.

Mila Marquez, general manager of Black Pencil Philippines, said she hoped the assignment, which includes above-the-line advertising, would lead to more projects for Hyundai.
