Hyundai elevates local staff as part of restructuring

DELHI: Hyundai Motors India has announced a restructuring and reallocation of responsibilities to give itself a new look front-end operational structure.

Positions earlier handled by Korean expats have now been taken over by B. Mani and Pradeep Saxena as general manager - field service and general manager - marketing (advertising and promotions) respectively. Anita Sharma has been named deputy GM, corporate communications, while Saurabh Srivastava has joined as senior manager, retail finance.

Hyundai president BVR Subbu described it as "the second phase" of evolution of the company's marketing structure, in which Korean officials have stepped back to act as coordinators. "In the third phase, Indian executives will take a full charge of sales and marketing," he said.

Hyundai recently brought in Cheil Communications to replace Grey as its second agency.
