Hutchison is the first Australian to head the IACVB and only the second non-American.
One of his goals for the association, which represents more than 550 destination
Management organisations in 30 countries, is to ensure the North American members are
consistently exposed to opportunities in international markets.
Hutchison to take on international bureau position
SYDNEY The long-serving managing director of the Sydney Convention & Visitors Bureau, Jon Hutchison, has been elected chairman of the International Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus.
