Developed by Triangle Worldwide Group, the game uses characters from a new anti-drug TVC that warns of the dangers of ecstasy and ketamine abuse. In recent months, the city has seen a surge in the number of users of the two drugs.
The ‘Evil Killer’ mobile phone game is available for downloading from Hutchison’s 3G ‘3’ website, and is also accompanied by an SMS marketing campaign.
“We must be in tune with the young people through the medium that is popular with them, so we are using digital channels,” said Sunnie Lam, principal information officer at the Narcotics Division.
The game is also available via Bluetooth from bus shelters across the cities, along with karaoke venues.
