Hunt departs Tequila in Shanghai

SHANGHAI - David Hunt (pictured) has resigned from his dual role as managing director of TBWA Group's below-the-line arms Tequila and Integer in Shanghai after a stint of four years with the agency.

Hunt is believed to be leaving to pursue separate personal interests. Group chief executive Gavin Heron explained that no direct replacement was being sought, but that Hunt’s duties would be assumed by Tequila Shanghai’s general manager, Jocelyn Yong.

“David was part of the team responsible for the rapid growth and success of Tequila in Shanghai,” Heron commented. “While his departure is regretted, we are positive about Tequila’s current growth prospects and opportunities in this market.”

Yong has been at Tequila for five years, during which time she has been responsible for leading the division’s Pernod Ricard account.
