HP nears global review decision

HP is reportedly set to conclude its US$2 billion global creative review, initiated after the departure of former chairman and chief executive Carly Fiorina in 2005.

Media understands HP will select either incumbent Publicis Groupe or McCann Worldgroup to handle its regional and local adaptation duties across international markets. The review earlier saw US agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners retained as global lead creative shop for HP's Personal Systems Group, and for the North American imaging and printing business. Publicis Groupe currently handles the bulk of HP's business in Europe and Asia, with Publicis and Saatchi & Saatchi splitting the Asia business.
