Howell, former CEO of Euro RSCG Thailand, an agency he ran for 14 years, returns to the industry after two years lecturing at a Thai university. As chairman, Amornpimol will oversee business direction and client relationships. "David brings a wealth of experience which complements the executive team," said Kim Walker, president and CEO, M&C Saatchi Asia.
In a letter to clients, Walker wrote: "We now feel it is time to strengthen the management team and take another big step forward with the appointment of a new MD."
M&C Saatchi launched its Thai office in September 2005 after acquiring Spalding & Co. Its major wins since include Coca-Cola, Bangkok Bank and AIA.
