Horse statues up in Hong Kong

Forty life-size horse statues have popped up in high-traffic areas of Hong Kong - including the financial district of Central - to drum up awareness of the Hong Kong International Races in December. The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Brand Hong Kong, Hong Kong Tourism Board as well as top advertisers such as PCCW and Kowloon Motor Bus are backing the project. The initiative also aims to bring a splash of Asian and Western art to the local streetscape as part of the tourism board's post-Sars recovery thrust, which includes the 'Hong Kong Live it. Love it' campaign.
