Hong Kong turnaround

Management at global luxury goods manufacturer Louis Vuitton's Asia Pacific (LVAP) team were forced to make a rapid decision earlier this year after SARS threw plans and the organisation of its annual regional conference into complete disarray. LVAP had pencilled in their annual regional conference to take place in Taipei during April but it was cancelled indefinitely. When a world-wide health travel warning was lifted on Hong Kong in early June, LVAP had three weeks to organise the event in new venues and arrange to have staff fly into Hong Kong from around the region and Louis Vuitton's head office in Paris.
