Hong Kong prepares for ITE MICE show

HONG KONG Final preparations are underway for the International Travel Expo (ITE) and ITE MICE, which will be held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 14 to 17 and June 14 to 16 respectively.

The first two days will solely be for trade while the remaining days are scheduled for the public.ITE MICE is the only event of its kind in the Pearl River Delta, which, with a populationof 50 million and a combined GDP of more than US$300 billion, ranks it among the world’s top 20 economies.
ITE MICE 2006 was attended by 3,000 visitors from corporations and the travel trade.The 2006 ITE and ITE MICE ICCA says Singapore is Asia Pacific’s most popular place for conventions drew more than 600 international exhibitors from 55 countries and regions, and 45 official pavilions run by tourism authorities with nearly 60% from outside Asia.Trade visitors numbered 10,000, of whom 35% were from mainland China and abroad,while respectively 55% and 17.5% were travel agents and corporate visitors.
