Hong Kong gets more action - AXN-style! - Sponsored by AXN

Its program format features all action-adventure movies and </p><p>TV series, action-adventure lifestyle and reality programming, the </p><p>latest Japanese action anime and extreme sports. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>AXN's September blockbuster action-only movie line-up at 10pm daily </p><p>includes Double Team (Jean-Claude Van Damme & Dennis Rodman), </p><p>Futuresport (Wesley Snipes & Vanessa Williams), Desperado (Antonio </p><p>Banderas & Salma Hayek), Boyz N the Hood (Cuba Gooding Jr & Ice Cube) </p><p>and Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise). </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Primetime action series at 9pm include Asia-premiere titles Relic </p><p>Hunter, starring leading Hollywood actress Tia Carrere, </p><p>suspense-thriller Profiler, the Gene Roddenberry sci-fi creation Earth: </p><p>Final Conflict, Pacific Blue and The Net. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>In an action-packed and colourful launch ceremony, AXN Managing Director </p><p>Todd Miller and CABLE TV Chairman, Stephen Ng, were joined by the stars </p><p>of the made-for-Asia TV action series, Charlie's Angels, set to premiere </p><p>exclusively on AXN, CABLE TV, in early 2001. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Also appearing at the launch were athletes from the two Hong Kong teams </p><p>in this year's Eco-Challenge - the world's most grueling </p><p>adventure-endurance race that was held in Sabah, Malaysia, from August </p><p>20 to September 1. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>AXN holds international broadcast rights for the Eco-Challenge program - </p><p>a four-part hour-long mini-series which will be produced from hundreds </p><p>of hours of footage, and will premiere in April 2001.
