Hong Kong Cricket Association revamps Sixes brand

HONG KONG - The Hong Kong Cricket Association will unveil a new corporate identity this week, as it gears up for the SAR's showcase cricket event in late October.

Fluid Design and Marketing, which won the brief to rebrand Hong Kong’s popular Cricket Sixes event three weeks ago, will also redevelop the tournament’s online presence and create a promotional print campaign to break on 1 October.

Simon Squibb, Fluid Hong Kong managing director, said the agency had been tasked with creating an exciting feel for the tournament. “We wanted to make the Sixes appeal to non-cricket fans and get them excited about the event.

It’s a fast-moving game, so we wanted to take it away from that rigid imagery that cricket usually has and inject a more social and vibrant feel into it,” he added.
