Hong Kong advertising industry shows strong growth

HONG KONG - New adspend figures from Admango show that the SAR's vibrant economy is continuing to drive increased spend, with the first seven months of 2007 showing a YOY increase of 8.51 per cent.

According to the figures, total adspend in July reached HK$1.87 billion (US$239 million), representing a 15 per cent increase compared with the same month last year, with the YTD comparative totals showing an increase from HK$10.97 billion to HK$11.90 billion.

Banking, toiletries and pharmaceuticals are the three top sectors in terms of adspend, with HSBC leading the way as Hong Kong’s biggest spender.
