Hong Kong 4As to revamp Effies
The Hong Kong 4As has announced plans to revamp its judging process for its annual Effie awards after no Grand Effie, the best of the best, was awarded for the third year in a row. <BR><BR> A separate panel to evaluate the gold-winners will be instituted next year, explained the chairman of this year's organising committee, TBWA\ Hong Kong CEO Ian Thubron (pictured), after judges found it difficult to separate out an overall winner. <BR><BR> "All the gold winners were broadly comparable - none really stood head and shoulders above the rest," Thubron said. <BR><BR> Four golds were awarded at this year's event, going respectively to Ogilvy & Mather, TBWA, JWT and McCann Erickson.
