Honda taps Ogilvy for Indonesia brief

JAKARTA - Honda Astra Motor has awarded its Indonesian creative account to Ogilvy & Mather after a pitch against globally-aligned agency Dentsu and a number of local shops.

The WPP agency has been briefed to strengthen Honda’s market-leading position, part of the company’s push to roll out 20 million motorcycle units in Indonesia by the end of 2007.

This is the first assignment the Japanese carmaker has awarded to Ogilvy, and a advertising, activation and public relations push will roll out by early next year.
