HK music label in subway deal for Anita Mui promo

Subway ad specialist Submedia has unveiled a campaign promoting previously unreleased tracks sung by popstar Anita Mui, who passed away in 2003, aged 40, after a battle with cancer.

Using images from her last concert before she retired from the stage in 1991, the campaign will be displayed to consumers as a 20-second motion picture tunnel advertisement, promoting the newly-released audio and visual products. Record company executives are confident the three-week subway burst will tap into consumers' curiosity, with print executions in leading newspapers and magazines supporting the push. "The tunnel ad unveils visual images of the products without sound," said Jacqueline Chan, Capital Artists, publishing manager. "This will add some mysterious elements in the whole promotional campaign, and as a result, this will further generate interest in the products."
