H&K grows Tay's role to chief exec of Southeast Asia

Hill & Knowlton has named Singapore managing director Jimmy Tay to the role of Southeast Asia chief executive. Tay takes on a position recently vacated by Vivian Lines, currently president and chief operating officer of H&K Asia-Pacific.

Tay will now oversee H&K's offices in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, along with associate offices in Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.

According to Lines, part of Tay's remit will also be to "identify and exploit unique opportunities that we have only begun to tap into". Tay said:"For me, the key is harnessing our people's potential to create value for our clients and partners, and to contribute to enhancing our respective societies and the regional community in our own small ways."

H&K Singapore's client base includes Goldman Sachs, American Express and GlaxoSmithKline, along with regional business from the likes of Naluri and HP.
