The company said in this newly created role, Tan will lead Hong Kong's technology team whose clients range from telecommunications and consumer electronics to a range of multi-market technology client relationships.
In addition to managing the Hong Kong team, he will also play a key role in rolling out H+K Strategies’ global technology best practices in Asia.
Tan will report to John Morgan, CEO of H+K Strategies Asia and managing director of H+K Strategies Hong Kong.
“One of my priorities will be to fully immerse myself in the business, and subsequently look at strategic ways in which to grow new business for the technology sector,” he said.
Tan brings over 20 years of experience to the firm. Most recently, he was director of client services at EBA Communications, overseeing regional and local clients in the software, hardware, and services sectors.
Prior to that, he was content director at Questex Asia Ltd for nearly six years working on enterprise innovation, CRM management, e-gov innovation, Storage Asia, Security Asia, and enterprise channel. Previously, he also worked as the Asia marketing director for Hitachi Data Systems and senior industry analyst at Gartner Group.
