Hello Kitty plans multiplayer online game

HONG KONG - Hello Kitty is developing a World of Warcraft-style role-play game targeting young women.

The globally available game, simply called Hello Kitty Online, will be developed by Outblaze Hong Kong and is slated launch for launch in November. A beta test will begin on 31 March.

The game will include human-figure avatars that interact with Hello Kitty and her friends on a quest to save Hello Kitty's world. Outblaze director of marketing and corporate communications Ibrahim El-Mouelhy said Hello Kitty Online will have a similar presentation to MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-play game) World of Warcraft. And like World of Warcraft, Hello Kitty Online will incorporate combat scenarios, though they will be resolved by co-operation rather than by violence.
