Hekkelman spent six years as group managing director at Ogilvy Indonesia. His move follows the departure of Mark Webster to Tokyo to run JWT Japan (Media, 5 January).
“JWT Bangkok has always been one of our strongest agencies. We want to keep that momentum going and broaden our service offering,” said Michael Maedel, international president of JWT.
Ogilvy India’s Renuka Jaypal has filled Hekkelman’s role at Ogilvy Jakarta.
