Heineken hands Taiwan creative work to Bates

TAIPEI: Bates has won the Taiwan portion of the Heineken account following a two-way pitch against Leo Burnett.

The agency, which has handled below-the-line advertising for the beer brand since mid-2000, was awarded the business based on its strategic and creative recommendations.

Following the win, Bates, which handles Heineken in several markets, has reshuffled its staff line-up in Asia. It has transferred Singapore-based Glenn Heng, group account director on the Nokia regional account, to Taiwan.

The agency has also promoted Koji Kuan, senior art director, to associate creative director. Kuan will also work on the Heineken account.
