HEADLINES: Smith resigns as MD of Channel V

<p>Channel V managing director Steve Smith has resigned in the wake of </p><p>Star TV taking over a majority 87.5 per cent of the music channel. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Mr Smith will continue as a consultant to Channel V, advising on the </p><p>integration of the channel into Star TV's entertainment network. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>His role has been taken up by Star TV's executive VP of programming </p><p>Steve Askew and senior VP of programming Jamie Davis. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Meanwhile, Phoenix Chinese News and Entertainment CEO Betty Yao has also </p><p>resigned, but will continue to advise on the Chinese channel's </p><p>development in other markets. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>

Channel V managing director Steve Smith has resigned in the wake of
