HEADLINES: Singer Malaysia drops Novacomm for Publicis
Singer Malaysia - which has 131 retail outlets selling a range of merchandise from furniture to electronics - has appointed Publicis to its multi-million dollar account after a pitch against McCann-Erickson and the incumbent Novacomm. A Singer spokesman said: "We wanted to enhance our brand image and overcome some misconceptions. The brand was established 150 years ago so people see us as old. Our brand, therefore, is not seen as being as progressive.
