The Creative Guild of the Philippines, the award-giving body of the
Philippine 4As, recently held an advertising workshop and competition
for copywriter-art director teams. Competing teams were required to have
a minimum of two years experience. More than 30 neophyte creatives from
4As member agencies answered the call and listened to hotshots Ms Ompong
Remigio, ECD of Publicis-Ama; Mr Richard Irvine, ECD of Leo Burnett, and
Mr Melvin Mangada, ECD of Ace-Saatchi & Saatchi. The winners were
selected by Philippines 4As president Nona Nangas; Ms Merlee Jayme of
Ace-Saatchi & Saatchi; Creative Guild president Dino Ocampo; Guild
director for the industry Roger Pe of DDB Philippines, and Micky Domingo
of McCann-Erickson.
