HEADLINES: Omnicom and WPP strengthen their India stakes

Omnicom and WPP agencies are strengthening their hold on their joint-venture operations in India. TBWA Anthem has been renamed TBWA India as the network raised its stake in the agency to an unspecified level from 51 per cent. Omnicom is also planning to consolidate its media-buying business under the OMD banner. WPP, meanwhile, is raising its holding in O&M India from 41 to 51 per cent.
