MindShare has been appointed the media agency of Ikea Hong Kong,
following a competitive pitch that also involved Starcom. Zenith, the
incumbent, will handle existing bookings until the end of the year, when
MindShare takes over. No billings figures were reported, but according
to ACNielsen, Ikea spent HKdollars 23 million (about USdollars 2.9
million) in advertising in the first nine months of this year.
