HEADLINES: Meralco taps Publicis to rebuild battered image
The Manila Electric Power Company (Meralco) has tasked Publicis with the job of rebuilding its battered image, after the Supreme Court ruled that the utility group had overcharged customers in the '90s and ordered it to pay US$527 million in compensation. Meralco has shied away from advertising for about 20 years, however, it has now earmarked about US$0.5 million for the corporate image camaign.
